What does GeForce NOW add at Gamescom 2026 for cloud gaming?

NVIDIA announced a batch of updates for GeForce NOW at Gamescom 2026. The cloud gaming service gets new graphics controls, more devices, and a slate of upcoming games.

DLSS 4.5 controls arrive for Ultimate members

This fall GeForce NOW will expose DLSS 4.5 controls inside the cloud rig. Ultimate members can toggle DLSS Super Resolution for sharper images, Dynamic Frame Generation for lower latency and smoother streaming, and Ray Reconstruction for better ray‑traced visuals. Each control works independently so a player can favour image quality, responsiveness, or a balance between the two. The announcement says details on best practices and how Dynamic Frame Generation helps enable higher graphic settings will follow in future GFN Thursday posts.

Steam Machine, GOG, Firefox, and Fire TV expand where you can play

GeForce NOW adds official support for Steam Machine with Steam Controller later this fall, with Windows and macOS support coming after. The move builds on existing Steam Deck compatibility and lets longtime Steam players use familiar hardware. GOG single sign‑on is live now: link the account once, sync supported games automatically, and launch them with one click. The GOG row in the app surfaces titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Firefox joins the supported browser list across Windows. No app needed. Ultimate members can stream at up to 1440p and 120 frames per second directly from play.geforcenow.com without installing a dedicated app. Amazon Fire TV support widens to the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, a 4K streaming stick ready to game out of the box. Later this year Fire TV users will also be able to purchase GeForce NOW memberships through Amazon.
