What Does Samsung's Flat-Design Washer Change for a 24-Inch Laundry Space?

The Flat Front Is Not Just Visual

Samsung has taken the flat design that used to sit only on select premium models and applied it to a new 24-inch front-load washer lineup. The change replaces the protruding front elements of previous designs with a flat front surface and a more uniform appearance. This creates a cleaner look that blends into modern interiors. The company showed the lineup at Samsung Connect, its exhibition at Humboldt Carré in Berlin, from September 2 to 6.

The products on display are development-stage models. Specifications are subject to change. Commercial availability has not been determined.

A Wider Door Opening Changes Loading

The larger door opens at a wider angle. This enables easier access when loading and unloading laundry. The task becomes more convenient. Samsung's Hyoung Min Park leads the Customer Experience Team for the Digital Appliances Business. He said customers increasingly expect appliances to harmonize with their living environments. The flat design aims to deliver a consistent design experience that combines refined aesthetics with thoughtful usability.

Bubble Shot and Ecobubble Move Down the Range

The new lineup adds two technologies that were previously limited to premium models. Bubble Shot sprays water throughout the drum. Internal testing on a WW7400D model using the Cotton cycle showed reduced wash time compared to a conventional Samsung washing machine without Bubble Shot. The company notes that results vary depending on the type of laundry and the usage environment.

Ecobubble allows detergent to dissolve more quickly and distribute more evenly across fabrics. This helps users save energy while washing effectively even at low temperatures. Internal testing followed IEC 60456 using AI Energy Mode combined with Ecobubble compared to default settings. The company notes that results vary depending on conditions of use.
