Why Are 300 Pajama Sets Being Recalled Over Burn Risk?

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of QZH.DUAO children's pajama sets on October 29, 2026. About 300 units sold on Amazon violate federal flammability standards for sleepwear.

The Product That Failed Testing

QZH.DUAO pajama sets consist of short-sleeve tops and matching pants. They came in eleven colorways: Pink Bow, Pink, Black, Light Blue, Purple, Mint Green, Hot Pink, Pink Bowknot, Blue Bowknot, Pink Strawberry, and Pink Bow Flower. Sizes range from 4-5T through 13-14 years. The recall covers every combination. Amazon listed them from February 2026 through July 2026 at about $23 per set. Xingtai Yunchuang Commerce and Trade Ltd., doing business as Fashion Brand Apparel Co. of China, imported them. Manufacturing took place in China.

Recall Number 27-045

The Standard They Violate

Federal law requires children's sleepwear to resist ignition and self-extinguish. The rule applies to sizes above 9 months up to 14 years. Garments must pass specific flame tests. These sets did not. The violation creates a risk of serious burn injuries if a child contacts an open flame. No incidents have been reported. None.

The Refund Requires Destruction

Consumers must stop using the pajamas immediately. Fashion Brand Apparel offers a full refund. The process is unusual: cut the pajamas in half, photograph the destroyed set, email the photo to qzh.duaoproductrecall@outlook.com. Only then does the refund issue. After that, dispose of the remains.

Only an Email Address

The email address is the only contact method listed. No phone number appears in the notice. No prepaid return label. The burden falls on the buyer to prove destruction.

What the Notice Does Not Say

How many of the 300 sets reached children's bedrooms is unknown. Whether the retailer will change its sourcing is not addressed. The specific test failure — which clause of the standard — is not detailed. The notice simply states the violation exists.
